Hi guys, first of all :
https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/41467986
Psu : 650W Gold
Screen : 144hz 1ms 1080p
Allright, last week i happily got my hand on an rx6900 xt as an upgrade for my aorus 1080ti - 11gb.

I'm mostly playing warzone, semi-competitive ( few tournaments here and there ).
Now my trouble is since i installed my new Gpu i feel like i'm not having the fps for my buck here. i'm mostly running around 140 fps with frequent drops around 50-60 fps (i was doing 90-110 solid and smooth fps with my 1080).
Also i feel like my game is running like a square wheeled car. like it's not smooth and fluid but stuttering and rocky.

I installed my drivers back with DDU and clean install. updated my bios to the lastest. tried activating / deactivating XMP profile.

I'm feeling lost here and i don't know where to look at ? Cpu bottleneck? Psu too weak? ( would give blue screen and crash no ? ) Any way program i could run that would help me ?

Thanks for you help !

Looking at bench results, seems like something is probably wrong with your memory setup. Low memory performance or high latency can cause many games to have hiccups.

The CPU and GPU have no means of knowing what PSU they are connected to or how close to the limit they may be, so it should have next to no influence whatsoever on performance. Usually, the only warning the PSU will give you about it is a random shutdown or restart.

Allright thanks, i'll take a look that way, but every thing was running smooth with my 1080ti, might have tweeked something wrong while playing with xmp ..

Before you buy another PSU go into your amd driver panel go to performance then tuning and set it to manual. then undervolt your voltage to 1000mv and test. see if the studdering goes away. if it still studders set you max Core Frequency to 1800 and your voltage to 930mv and check again.

This should change your max load from ~300watts to 160watts. So you can see if your pulling to much watts from your PSU. Also you can check if your min core Frequency is dropping during game. if it is increase the Slider up to 1400 or so

Tried it, stuttering is less there but i do get less fps. Ordered a new psu will update when it arrive.. i also found that my psu coil kinda whine / buzz when playing full load. Feels like it is because im asking for more then he can give..

Hi guys, i just received my 850w gold EVGA PSU, plugged it and gave it a go.. still the same issue.. i'm getting kinda loss..

I tried to reinstall my old 1080ti and open Warzone, steady 120-130 fps with the exact same settings.

Put my 6900xt back in and now i get 150fps pregame, and 120-130 fps with drops to 70-80 fps and lots of stuttering..

Have you tried this? To me, it sounds like a cpu bottleneck which you don't have with a 1080ti which is a much less powerful card. Especially since you play at 1080p, which is when the most significant cpu bottleneck happens.

So changing for a 5000 series cpu would be the fix? If i would be to change my monitor for a 2k instead ? Do you think it would fix it ?

I sadly can't read the future lol. But yes, a 5000 serie ryzen would def cancel that bottleneck. What cpu do you own right now. Because it might not be even that. So before dropping atleast 370 usd/350eu on a 5600x let us know what cpu you currently have. Im assuming a ryzen serie 1/2000/lower tier 3000 serie (3600 and below)? If so, you're def bottlenecking the 6900xt. From the 3700/x/xt onward you should not see that much of a bottlenecking, but in some games it might occur (definitely not cod tho).

Ok sorry, i clicked on your link, apparently you got a 3800x. https://www.cpuagent.com/cpu/amd-ryzen-7-3800x/bottleneck/amd-radeon-rx-6900-xt? You're getting an average of 15% bottleneck. Which isn't crazy high but it could explain the random drops and stutterings. This is a comparison between 3800x, 5600x and 5800x https://www.cpuagent.com/cpu-compar...eck/amd-radeon-rx-6900-xt?res=1&quality=ultra . So if you plan to upgrade the cpu get atleast a 5800x.

Also yes, have you enabled xmp profile via bios? Or do you have your ram running at the base speed? Also make sure the rams are installed in the correct slots, and not in slot let's say 1 and 2. it's usually 1 and 3 and 2 4 to get the dual channel link going.
