6950 2gb Heaven Benchmark Score: 839

Recently I bought this Sapphire 6950 dirt 3 edition, I have a Phenom II X4 965 at stock settings and 4 gb Corsair RAM. Somehow I suspect this card is under-performing. Games like splinter cell conviction the average FPS is in 40s and its very similar to when I had my older 5750. I ran the Heaven Benchmark 2.1 with 1280x1024 (as of now I am using a CRT), AA: 4x. AF: 4x, Tessellation: normal and everything else set to high. My score is 839, Is it a decent score? If not what can possibly be the problem? Please Help.

I just ran an 1138 on my 570 @ 1920x1080 4xaa and 16xaf, yeah you arent getting the type of performance you should out of that card. Heaven is primarily GPU limited as far as scores go too

I just oc'd my cpu from stock 3.4 to 3.84 ghz and ran the benchmark at same settings, it bumped up my score to 1239. btw which processor you are using?

im using a phenomIIx4 925 @3.3ghz. Did you remember to enable the 4xAA when you relaunched heaven? it resets itself to 0 when you exit out and relaunch the program.
I doubt the 3.4ghz was bottlenecking that card esp. on unigine.
All in all, as far as your score goes, that sounds about right after the CPU bump. other 6950's are getting around 1050 @1920x1080.

Its strange, I ran the benchmark at 3.6 ghz same settings lead up to a score of 1295, then again downclocking to stock 3.4 ghz, it scored a decent 1288 but earlier it was 839, and yes I did change AA settings back to 4x
