6950 crossfire and 700w

i was thinking of adding another 6950 to my pc i have used extreme calculator and thermaltake calculator and it says recommended psu wattage 479w should i go by this or just keep with 1 6950

700 should do it if you get a good brand name one.

Yeah I would not recommend getting another card if you only have a 500 w power supply. I would use at least a 850w-1000w if your running two of the cards. Its better to be over your wattage instead of under obviously.

This is true, if you have a 700 w you could also sell your 6950 and get the newer series card that will work just as good as crossfired x2 6950's.

Seems like every new generation of cards steps up exponentially from the last generation, make a big difference.
