Hello, I am in need of some expertise. I was planning on upgrading my computer with a new GFX. But i'm unsure if the PSU I have selected is compatible with everything.

CPU-z says that I have a Gigabyte GA-770TA-UD3 motherboard. Does the ATI 6970 (pci-e 2.1) support this motherboard with pci-e 1.0?

The psu I have selected is Arctic fusion 550R. Is everything compatible? It would be nice to know if everything works together before I spend any money on it.

Your PSU is exactly on the bottomline. I think you should stick with a 650W or greater. According to the Gigabyte website, your motherboard has a pcie 2.0. If your motherboard is 2.0 then performance would be almost the same. If it is pci-e 1.0, then I think your performance will drop, but I'm not sure if it is compatible. I would recommend getting a pci-e 2.0 motherboard (if yours is not already) and getting a power supply slightly stronger.

Good Luck
