6gb memory but only 4gb showing on 64 bit win 7

Can enyone help please 6gb memory but only 4gb showing on 64 bit win 7
If I power down the computer then restart and go to system properties it then shows 6 gb also if I power down and then disconnect the mains and then power up in 48hr will sumtimes show 6 gb

Use cpuz and forget about it. It will tell you if the full ram is detected. If you're using 6 gb on 4 ram slots, then that could be an issue. But if it's 3 sticks on 3 slots (socket 1366 boards) then your point may be valid. Need your system information please.

This my system info I use 3 sticks on 3 slots( M/B Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R ) ram-corsair 6GB (3X2GB DDR3 160) CPU Intel(R)Core(TM)i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz 2.66 Installed memory6.00 (4.00 usble) 64- bit O/S GPU is a Geforce GTX 60. this machine was homebuilt for me

cpuz is a small free software file that gives system info. The ram speed is displayed as half the actual speed. Example; 1600 is displayed as 800.
