6MB mp3 will not fit on Audio CD-ROM

How does the Audio Writing of the Windows XP Native tools work? I tried to
copy a set of mp3s that were total under 80 mins- 49 mins to be exact but
none would fit. I followed this article:

The total size of your files must not exceed the
formatted capacity of the CD (approximately 533MB).

Well it turns out the CD-Audio was wtitten correctly. Although WMP showed 8
errors all say, "will not fit" for each of the songs. I am using WMP for
Windows XP at SP1.

Are there some fixes for this issue specifically?
