Howdy

I just completed my new build and i have a GTX 980 installed.
I would like to use sleeved cables to make everything look nicer, and i have accepted that i need to sleeve my 24pin cable myself due to Seasonic's strange splitter arrangement.

However for the 980, it requires dual 6pin power inputs, but the only cables i have been able to find involve a 6+2 head, or are simply extension cables, what i am after is a 6pin to 6pin, male on both ends, not an extension.

Do these exist or am i going to go crazy trying to find one, and have to settle for the +2 hanging off the side of the gpu.

Solution
you don't have to cut any wires with extension cables, here is how I have mine set up.

Extension cables used in my build and none of them were cut

I just bought the Silverstone cable extensions for mine. Everything goes from the PSU straight behind the motherboard tray then comes out with the extension cables sleeved. I also made a fiberglass box that covers the PSU and cables at the bottom of the case as well so you don't see anything at the bottom.

I might just end up buying the 6pin extensions and cut off the +2 then, thanks for that. On another note, it a terrible idea to power the gpu with a single 8pin cable that splits into 2x 6+2 pin heads?

This is what i was after, but you have the advantage of a PSU cover which i do not. So if i grab the 6pin extensions i can just stick that on the end of the 6+2 and forget the +2 behind the mobo?

yeah that's all I did. the cove was just a block of wood that I cut to size and then laid fiberglass over, cut some to fit and then painted it. its nothing to hard to do, the fan was just extra to pull air in from the bottom vent hole on the case to bring fresh air to the gpu.

Alright, thanks for the links to the cables and all your help, appreciate it.
