Before you declare me insane: I have a lovely small/light M$ keyboard I carry around with my laptop. No problem there.
I also have a huge, very heavy IBM keyboard that I love to use at my work desk. I've carried it around with me since I got it mid/late 90s. It really is that good! Nice mechanical sound, nice mechanical feel ... if you're a speedy touch-typist you'll understand.
Here's the thing:
6pin DIN to USB conversion works fine on my Vista laptop. BUT my PC? Win7-64 obligingly beboops when I plug it in, but no joy.
* Rebooted from cold; no joy.
* Checked in Control Panel; no problems found.
* Checked in Device Manager; no probs.
* Clicked "Check for Hardware Change" all over the place. Nope, no dice.
Anybody have an idea?
I'd bet a pizza that it's something simple. But ... no clue where to look.
sure would help me! (I keyboard many hours every day.)
TIA
