No and no.
Adapters are almost never a good idea. If the PSU does not have the required connections and available power, you need a new PSU.

What are you trying to power, and with what power supply?

Storage devices don't need either of them. I'm saying that since the thread has been posted in the Storage section. Also, if you're trying to use an adapter to power a device, your PSU is very likely not fit for the job.

Yes, I have an old 500 psu, So that's why I wanted to know should I get a new psu? Or should I use old one
