6pin to 8pin or Molex to 8pin -seasonic s12ii 520w - sapphire r9 280x vapor X

Should i use the Molex to 8pin which is included in the GPU box?

Or should i buy a 8pin to 6pin adapter?

They are equal, all that happens is that you get a little longer wire to deliver the power to the GPU.

one last question mate i had a lot of contradicting answers ( friends, forums, experts ) i just wanna ask your thoughts about this one .

Yes it can - I'd use the twin molex to 8 pin supplied with the card - simply because the load is split over more heavy gauge wires.

Im not talking about the amount of 12v pinouts on a pci express socket ,Im talking about splitting the load over more physical cables which imo is more important.
the seasonic has decent enough but standard 18 gauge wiring,the sapphire twin molex to 8 pin has 24 gauge wiring.
1 molex to 1 string of molex cables & the other to the other string coming from the psu splits the load over more physical cables coming from the psu itself - thats the main reason I suggested using it - the other reason is it comes with the card itself,is good quality,& saves buying a seperate cable which may/may not be decent quality.

yes - you have 2 seperate strings of molex cables on the psu with 3 connectors on each - plug each of those molex plugs to a seperate cable string - in all honesty it wouldnt matter either way but Its what I would do personally - theres no reason not to & it minimises draw on each set of cables.

your psu is good enough,your cpu is sub 70w & in all honesty there is no need for twin 8 pins on any 280x - it will never draw that amount of wattage.

Ill apologise & concede youre right - I was wrongly assuming that the 8+6 pin from the psu shared a lone cable when infact they are entirely seperate cables (I should have known this with it being a seasonic model)

another noob questions

1. I need to plug BOTH of the molex to the psu then connect the 8pin end to the GPU right?

2. There are 2 8-pin slots on the R9 280x Vapor X, Which slot should i connect the native 8pin of the PSU?
- And which slot should i connect the 8-pin end of molex adapater?
- It doesn't matter which slots i use?
