Hello,

I have a 6tb drive that I converted to GPT NTFS using Paragon GPT Loader. The software also makes XP able to access GPT drives. By all accounts (in Windows) the drive shows as a 6tb drive. However HD Sentinel only recognizes the disk as 1.6tb. This is the same size that Windows recognized the disk as when it was of the MBR type.

I want to perform surface testing in HD Sentinel but this issue prevents the whole drive from being tested. It also has me concerned that if I try and fill this drive beyond the 1.6tb mark in XP, that I may lose the data.

What am I missing here?

Solution
Issue is that you are using that custom software to make the OS do what it should not do. Try testing the drive with another program, contact the software maker support and find out why it only sees part of the drive in your system.

Could you please elaborate it more? I didn't get some parts of it.
