this is my 1st time building a pc and im kinda lost, please help me, the pc its purely for gaming, and my main goal is to play assassins creed 4 on high setting with no lag!

I thought of this build:
CPU: AMD FX 6-CORE 6300 (3.5GHZ) BLACK BOX SKT AM3+* 110€
MB: ASROCK 970 PRO3 67€
RAM: KINGSTON PC3-12800 1600MHZ 4GB CL9 HYPERX RED DDR3 35x2€
GC: ASUS GEFORCE GTX660 TI DIRECT CU II 2GB GDDR5 PCI-E 3.0 240€
PS: XFX PRO 550W CORE EDITION* 62€
CASE: NOX HUMMER SX 48€
HARDRIVE: SEAGATE BARRACUDA 1TB 7200RPM 64MB SATA III 3.5 59€
RANDOM DVD DRIVE: 17€
Total: 673€

Will it do what I want? would you change anything? Should I go the intel route? Can you make a better gaming build for this budget?

Thank you all in advance!

A FX won't do it for ac in a town dude

William that build on my country (phisical store) would cos 930€, why you say that about the FX? heres a video of a guy running ac3 on max with a fx6100+gtx660 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gYXOHilKTw) with no problems. Im not saying you are wrong im just asking why, I really want this pc for hard gaming.

Those part picking, i cant choose my country (portugal).

Flippi Is that build better then my original one?

I could shout at you about cores vs performance all day. He has got to be playing at a lower resolution with less chars drawn. Just trust us and GI Intel on games that have a lot of AI

imagine I got my hands on the build u suggested, will it play ac 4 on max with no lag? what about other (future) games?
talk a little about ur build (what it can handle etc).
im really interested in it :)

the guy in the video shows the settings and its all maxed with a high res..
