$700 Gaming PC for MW3 and BF3 *Updated*

Budget Range: $700 to $765 Before Rebates

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, watching movies, Surfing the net, listening to music (Clearer Audio Quality, the better)

Parts Not Required: Keyboard,Mouse,Speakers,Monitor,Hard Drive, DVD Drive, (MAYBE) Power Supply I Have a Corsair CX430 V2 (80+) I Just Purchased So I will take that back if i need a bigger one.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg, eBay.

Parts Preferences: Intel, Nvidia.

Overclocking: Yes

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe (Sure my monitor res really doesn't require this, I Just love getting the most I Can out of FPS though, Depending on price you can leave this out or keep it in if you can find a build with SLI up to $700)

Monitor Resolution: 1600x1200 (Samsung Syncmaster 20 inch) & 1680x1050 (Apple 20 inch Cinema Display) & 1280x800 (Dell 15 inch)

Additional Comments: Case I Would Prefer to have LED Lighting and A Side Window, the PC Doesn't need to be quiet, though would be nice, I Will not use watercooling. I Play FSX, GTA IV, Crisis 2, MW2, Portal 2, And WILL Be playing BF3 and MW3 (These games are my whole reason I Am Building a more modern Gaming Rig). I Need Help choosing parts As I Don't know much about the latest Parts, I Still look for Core 2 Extremes when I Look to build or upgrade.

your new build is a great build but a 6870 will perform better than a 460 in gaming . 4gb of ram is stable for gaming but for $20 more you can get the 8gb one in my build .

he's not using the 6950 (he changed the thread) but i dont think a 6850 can max out crysis 2

Your right. But as far as the 6850 or 6950 goes I prefer Nvidia. I love Physx and cuda. So I might just end up getting a cheap card for Physx or just save the money. Thanks for your input!

There are nVidia equivalents of the 6850

But I included the 6850 because it uses less power , and that makes your current power supply an option .
Physics runs just as well with an AMD graphics card . A tiny bit more set up
And AMD has an identical technology to cuda . The drivers are freely available with the CCC

this mobo doe not support x8/x8 cf/sli. which u probably shouldn't even consider. Just go with one GPU (decent one) no need in spending 25 $ on a thermal paste .. i mean r u kidding me ?? Cm hyper 212+ comes with perfectly good one

Since the MoBo has only one PCIe slot, you can't SLI or Crossfire. So getting a better GPU is gonna make the PC more future proof. For example, a EVGA GTX 560Ti or a HD 6950. That fits in your budget, too.
For $60 more, you can get the i5 2400.
