I've been looking around at parts for about a month now and this is what i have came up with for a $700 PC. ---->http://pcpartpicker.com/user/retrop3/saved/g7yLrH

Do you guys think i need to change out some parts or is it a good build?

A not to bad idea may be to get a z97 board and the unlocked Pentium that will do just fine in gaming if you get a good overclock on it. Then in the future you could purchase a more heavy duty CPU when broadwell comes out, because TO MY KNOWLEDGE broadwell should be compatible with z97 chipsets. Please correct me if i am wrong. Also if i am wrong then you could still get the 4690k in the future as well.

I don't think that MB is compatible. You might need a 9 series MB unless you want to update the bios. Anyway i would recommend a stronger MB because the MB is a part you will have for a long time. Maybe cut back on the PSU because 750w is overkill. In my system I have an i5 4570, and a gtx 970 all running on a cx500 PSU. I would recommend a cx600 instead for overclocking headroom down the road.

This EVGA is not a bad choice either.

How does this look? http://pcpartpicker.com/user/retrop3/saved/g7yLrH

That is a good Mother Board. The micro-atx size might look a little goofy in a mid tower but that is purely an aesthetic thing. This looks like a very well rounded build.

For $32 more than your current build you could move to z97 chipset and upgrade from the older slower 4460 locked to the newer faster 4690k unlocked. Roughly $70 more if you include the hyper 212 evo. I think you'd be happier and get more benefit in gaming for such a small price difference.

I wish i had done that when i first build because now here a year later i would like to overclock, but don't have the hardware. If you think there is a chance you would want to overclock in the future, don't hold back.

After looking around this is what ive got http://pcpartpicker.com/user/retrop3/saved/g7yLrH. The reason i cant get that nice motherboard and Cooler is because of my strict budget. Im only 14 and have discussed a price for a Gaming PC christmas gift with my parents and 700-750 was ther max. Also i am paying for about 250$ of it. I do plan on picking up the Hyper 212 Cooler once i come into some more money. Hopefully the prices for the PC components i have selected go down on Cyber Monday/ Black Friday, then i may be able to squeeze it in. Or more likely i will buy some more case fans and hold off on OC the CPU for a little bit. tell me what you think of all this.
