Alright, hi, I just purchased a Toshiba 3TB DT01ACA300 HDD, and not only do I only get 2.8 TB, out of the 3TB, I also lose 750 GB out of the 2.8 because it's an unallocated space, and I can't change that for some reason. So, I got a 3TB HDD just to use 2TB of it?

Try using more powerful 3rd party partitioning software such as Partition Master to claim whole space.
http://www.partition-tool.com/landing/home-download.htm - free version will be enough for your needs.

Also, having 2,8TB available is normal due to the different way manufacturers advertise capacity.
1 terabyte = 1000 gigabytes - advertised capacity
1 tebibyte = 1024 gibibytes - OS (unfortunately misspelled, should say TiB, not TB)

Some space is reserved for formatting as well.

Hi, thanks for the reply, but still no luck.. I am unable to use the full drive.
