Hey guys, I just wanted to make a quick thread showing my observations on microstutter.

What I've observed, is that it is very driver orientated.

Ex:

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

These are with the 12.10 drivers, and with a 7850 crossfire setup.

Ex2:

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

This is with the 12.11 drivers, and with the same setup.

As you can see, the one picture with the 12.11 drivers, is much easier to handle than the first.

Both of the 7850's are at stock clocks.

My rig:

I5 3570k
8gb corsair vengence
X2 7850 2gb
Tx650

If anybody has questions, i would be happy to answer them!

I don't think that actually helps micro stutter. It's more for if you want to force vertical sync and such.

Djentlemen its actually quite good for helping microstuttering. I also have dual 7850's and have never noticed this so called "micro stuttering". I was expecting some stuttering effect when I first put them in, but nothing I've noticed. Of course the cards run like 20 degrees hotter, and the 46 degree celcius ambient temperature (114 Fahrenheit) obviously doesn't help.

There is already an article about upcoming 12.13 beat drivers that have some improvements to frame latency in certain games, and AMD has also stated that sometime after the 12.13 drivers they will have a new memory management in the drivers which will resolve most if not all frame latency issues

Hmmm, does it have an option for fixing micro stutter in the application?
How does it help micro stutter?
