I get my hand on an amd radeon hd 6990 on the cheap, the only issue is that card is supposedly requires 750w PSU minimum and I currently have
an Antec vp700w, so my question is can I run the GPU with my current PSU
my rig is :
-intel core i5-2500k stock 3.3ghz
-cooler master hyper evo 212
-16gb ddr3 1600 mhz ram 8x2
-1 sata 7200rpm HDD
-1 optical dvd-rw drive
-1 120mm fan
-1 200mm fan

I don't have much money to spare on a newer GPU I found this GPU for like 60$ and am currently using an AMD Radeon 6770 so its better then what I got I can also get an old gtx 580 for like 40$ my monitor res is 1600x900 so any of these cards would do just fine. and the 6990 is around 1050 ti performance so for that price if my PSU can support it it would superb if not am I get the gtx 580 those are my only choices for the time been since I can't shop online and my budget is limited .
Your PSU will support it as long as it's in good condition and you have the cables to connect the radeon. Cheers.

The radeon HD 6990 is an old card that will use lots of power and generate a good amount of waste heat. I recommend getting a newer card that will use less power and yield far better performance. Your Antec PSU is more of an entry level model. That being said, as long as it has the 2 PCIe connectors that you'll need for the Radeon card and you have the 2 PCIe power cords to use it, it should work fine. Just don't expect too much from the Radeon card. There are far better options today that are not expensive.
