So a friend of mine is looking into getting a new system, and as the GPU market is a dumpster fire right now, we are doing some research into laptops. The budget is 800 to 1000USD or so, and it looks like the most promising configuration in this price range is an i5-10500H paired with a 75 watt TGP 3060 offered by MSI (https://www.bestbuy.com/site/msi-gf...gwc=1&ref=198&loc=IGN &acampID=0&mpid=1442478). Can anyone give me some pointers as to what a 75 watt TGP 3060 is comparable to?

Side notes

We will probably DIY upgrade to 16GB of RAM

I am familiar with undervolting and overclocking so I should be able to atleast partially mitigate CPU GPU bottlenecks by (hopefully) achieving constant max boost

Thanks!

Solution
75TGP is the power input a laptop card is designated.

75 is not amazing, but not bad.
It will probably be around the level of a desktop 2070/2060 super.
Since the regular 3060 is the level of a desktop 2080/2080 super.

Not too bad and should crush a 1660ti then. The one thing to worry about then is any bottlenecks. I have had some pretty bad bottlenecks in some games (over like 50fps in SWBII) with my i5 8th gen and 2060, and don't want my friend to buy this computer as his daily driver and have it bottleneck super badly. Can y'all verify my supposition that an i5 10th gen will pair with this 3060 just fine?
