Hey guys!

My desktop pc needed a boost in storage capacity, so I took out a hard drive from one of my laptop's (WD 320gb 5400rpm) and connected it to the Sata port on my PC.

The primary hard drive I have installed is a Samsung HD160JJ (160gb 7200rpm).

Everything was okey and I copied my music, videos and other stuff to that 5400rpm disk.
The thing is that my PC started running really slow and I couldn't figure out what was it. So I shutted down and took out the WD hd. After doing this, the pc was running as fast as it used to.

Could it be that the 5400rpm disk is modifying the 7200rpm disk performance in some way?

My motherboard is an Asus m5a88-v evo. I really don't want to spend money on another HD.

Have any of you ever tried this stun? Am I missing something?
