720p on 23 inch 1080p screen monitor

ok so my sister got a new pc and it only has a intel 4400 for running games now i have found out the system can run a ok amount of games at 720p however the monitor is 23 inches 1080p monitor anyway will running games at 720p make my games worse looking and by how much?

Running games a 720p dont look so bad on a 1080p monitor, but when you compare the difference between 720p and 1080p it looks pretty horrible. However for HD 4400 720p would be the most it could handle.

There's no saying how much it will change it exactly, as it will be different on every game.

It will reduce the quality of the games, but it will still be clear and visible, it may seem blurry and really low quality at first, but it will increase performance, so the best you can do is test it.

Preferably, dont sure her how games look at 1080p on the monitor, or she wouldnt want to play at 720p. Fps is alwasy more important. May i ask which 4th gen processor this is?

oh it's a intel 4170 we did have a pc with a intel 3270 cpu but i tried to have a place update the system with a better gpu but i failed to notice that my mobo was like 5 or 6 years old and the new gpu fried our old pc i guess when they tried to put it together sucked real bad to i had to resell my gtx1060 and psu for like 200 bucks and help buy this new pc since it was my fault for not looking more into our mobo i just thought if a mobo had all the slots and pins that the psu and gpu had it would be ok guess i was wrong...🙁

Anyway sorry about that little rant i got the "I tried to upgrade but screwed up blues"
