Good Day, I have installed windows 7 on a 3tb hard drive.
i'm aware of the mbr restrictions and gpt now that i have read up on it trying to solve m problem.
my motherboard supports uefi etc.

problem is the 746,5 unallocated space. now in disk management i can select it it but cannot seem to do anything with it. cannot format it convert it or any of the sorts.

I try and use disk part but it only sees one disk as 2,7tb and cannot convert it to gpt.

could i use partition wizard to extend the partition.

What i technically would like to do it create a d: using that unallocated space

The unallocated space can't be used at present because of the MBR capacity limit which has already been reached by the 2.7 TB partition.

To use the entire capacity of the disk it must converted to GPT but you can only do that by deleting all existing partitions first.

There is no way to convert from MBR to GPT whilst still preserving existing data.
