Good day everyone

I need a recommendation from anyone. So I want to buy a 27 inch monitor. And the option is between:

Samsung Curved 27"
https://www.samsung.com/us/computin...curved-monitor-lc27r500fhnxza/?redir=LC27R500

and Armaggeddon Gaming Curved 27"
https://leapfroglobal.com/amg/Armaggeddon-monitoes-pc27hd/armaggeddon-monitors-curved-75

They have 3 aspect that different from one and another. Response Time, Refresh rate and Curvature. The response time is just 1ms faster for Samsung, but the refresh rate is 75 Hz for Armaggeddon. Is it pretty much smoother for gaming and more worthy than Samsung's 60 Hz? Because it's only 15 Hz faster. I dont really mind about the curvature

Thank you for read this thread, and have a nice day ☺️

You probably won't notice much of a 15Hz difference. However, both are different panel types.

Armaggeddon has an IPS panel, which means more vivid colors and has a response time of 5ms and is 75Hz

The Samsung is a traditional VA, so colors won't be as great as the Armaggeddon IPS panel and is 60Hz. But the response time for the Samsung is 4ms.

So your call, better colors at 75HZ or a faster response time for sacrificing vivid colors and refresh rate. Personally, the Armaggeddon seems like a great monitor.

Actually, VA screens also typically offer much higher contrast due to them having deeper blacks, even if their color accuracy and viewing angles tend to not be quite as good as IPS.

I'm not sure exactly what's available in your region, but it might also be worth looking at high refresh rate screens, like 144Hz, as they may not cost much more than standard refresh options like these. If your graphics card can push significantly higher frame rates than 60/75 fps, then a higher refresh rate can help make motion smoother, particularly if adaptive sync (FreeSync/G-Sync) is supported. What kind of hardware is this being paired with, particularly the graphics card and CPU?

While "only" 15Hz, a lot of people notice the step up beyond 60Hz (even to 75Hz) moreso than other increases (75 to 120/144, 144 to 240Hz etc).

VA is a solid balance of IPS and TN.

What kind of prices are you dealing with? And where are you located? What GPU do you have that'll be driving either display?

Yes it definitely varies from person to person

Me and my friend both play on 60hz monitors. He didn't notice a difference between above 75hz, wile I noticed until 100hz.

I use i5 9400f with gtx 1660 ti and 2x8 gb 2666 mhz of ram. I dont overclock the gpu either. And because I like Ultra Setting, my rig maybe wont touch 144 Hz

For the budget is around as same as the Samsung monitor, around $200. I'm in Indonesia, and the internet says that Armaggeddon is the most cheapest gaming monitor in my country (with best price for value). My gpu is 1660 ti paired with i5 9400f

Yeah, I think 15 Hz is not much different than 60 Hz. I pick a samsung as one of the choice because I thought it would be waste a money if I buy Armaggeddon because my rig maybe wont touch 75 Hz everytime
