Hello, I am building a PC for a friend who has a budget of around 700-750 US dollars. I was wondering what would be the best part list for a mid-range kind of build. No need for monitors/keyboards/mice for the budget is for the rig itself.

Wouldn't a R9 290 be enough? Also the Motherboard is a little too low-end for the components. Fuck the s340 god damn it it's gotta be the worst case i've worked with; ugly, and no room for dvd drives. Any one else?

Why do you need a DVD drive?
And also, R9 290 isn't enough. It is way too hot, draws too much power, only to give you... Some 10-20 FPS lower than GTX 970.

To "punish" you, lemme give you...

No DVD drive makes installing drivers a pain in the ass.
