Hi All! I'm using old computer parts back from 2010! o_O I'm upgrading the old parts now and need advice. Thanks

Approximate Purchase Date: This week

Budget Range: $750 or lower, prefer less than $500 if possible

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming

Are you buying a monitor: No, already have one. Asus VG278Q 27" Full HD 1080P 144Hz

Parts to Upgrade: CPU, RAM, mobo, storage. Using same power supply: CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX

Do you need to buy OS: Yes, windows 10. I would like to boot to old Windows 7 as well on my SSD.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Amazon for prime shipping

Location: San Jose, California, USA

Parts Preferences: I prefer Intel CPUs and Nvidia GPUs

Overclocking: No

SLI or Crossfire: No

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

Additional Comments: Games include Battlefield 1, Anno 1800

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: My desktop crashes a lot. I already have a small new laptop for work. I have decided to replace all the old desktop parts from 2010, excluding the PSU if possible. I would like to keep my 1080 ti gpu as it is a newer part (2017). If my computer still crashes...then I will replace the gpu I think.

New Parts that I think work.
In case it is needed, below is my current desktop build with the new parts replacing the old.

New CPU: Intel Core i5-10600K 4.1 GHz 6-Core Processor Or a better one, an i7, if within budget.
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D14 64.95 CFM CPU Cooler
New Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX Z490-E GAMING ATX LGA1200 Motherboard I think this motherboard is more than what I need. Are there better options that are less expensive? I am not looking to have more than 1 video card.
New Storage: Samsung 970 Evo 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive This is M.2 storage. I've never used them. If this isn't worth it then I am open to other options at 1TB. I've read that it can block other SATA storage when in use. I've been using Samsung 850 EVO 2.5".
Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11 GB STRIX GAMING Video Card
Case: NZXT S340 ATX Mid Tower Case
New Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit
Monitor: Asus VG278Q 27.0" 1920x1080 144 Hz Monitor
New Memory: Looking for 2x16GB. Having a difficult time finding available ones at the right price on Amazon.

Thank you

The CPU and motherboard you choose are perfect for overclocking, why did you choose them if you said you didnt want to overclock, and you got the good cooler for overclocking xD
I choose something different:
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ymBMvf the cpu retails for 300$,so its everything is around 600$
5600X beats the 10600K (even when overclocked to 5GHz) in gaming and productivity tasks even when its stock.I put a B550 board in there which has good features like fast ram compatability, decent VRM's,great overclocking support. And i put a 2x16gb 3600mhz kit so you can enjoy the increased performance with this ram frequency.Stock cooler will be fine if you dont want to overclock
