Hey guys, I have a question.

Is 750W Power Supply too much for just one GTX 970 Graphics Card?

Rig is: Intel i5 4590
MSI Z97 Gaming 5 Motherboard
MSI GTX 970
250GB SSD
1 T.B Hard Drive
8G Ram

You won't waste the power supply, since it will leave you with more upgrade opportunities. Also, since the 750 B2 is available at a lower price than 650 G2 in US at the moment, buying 750 B2 is a better option. Also, both 750 B2 and 650 G2 are good psus. If you want to get the bare minimum psu for your GTX 970, 550 G2 is enough. You don't even need to go to the 650 G2.
Too much? Technically yes, but having a power supply that is rated for more power than you need is not a bad thing. In fact, it's a good idea to have a PSU that's rated a few hundred watts more than what you need. That way when you're ready to upgrade other parts of your PC, the PSU is already able to handle the power needed. Obviously you wouldn't want to go crazy and buy a 1500W PSU for your build, that would just be a waste of money because you would be paying for a PSU that will never put out what it's capable of. But there's really no such thing as "too much" when it comes to PSU's.

I'm just worried about wasting the power supply and what not, like will the GTX 970 put the power supply to good use?
Would I be better off with something like 650W G2?

I have the 650W G2 and a GTX 970, and it's a little more than what I need. Even still, there's nothing wrong with a 750W. If you want to save a little money (a whole $10 difference in price between them) then go with the 650W. But if you're okay with spending a little more, I would do it because you'll be that much better prepared for upgrades later. Honestly, the only reason I bought the 650W instead of the 750W was the 650 was on a major sale ($60) at the time I was looking. If I was buying now, (that's just me) I would spend the extra $10 for the 750W.
