Alrighty, so I invested in a new graphics card since my old one was way out dated, it was a 260 geforce thing from a decade ago, the new one I have is a gt 750 ti (heres a link to the ebay page: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Graphics-Video-Card-Sky-Arrows-GeForce-GTX-750-2GB-GDDR5-PCI-E-HDMI-DirectX11-US-/331913512164?hash=item4d479644e4:g:YlUAAOSwbsBXjuuT ).
I installed it correctly, put the old cord that was used for the old graphics card and it fit since it was a 6 slot and not an 8 slot power cord. I then turned it all on and the monitor said that it couldn't find anything to connect to. I've tried different cords, different monitors and both of the graphics cards and now both dont work, i havent touched anything but the cords. All the fans turn on yet the monitor still doesn't find a connection. I'm sorry that I dont know much else and I'm sorry if I slaughtered the names of the parts but help me out please because if I got this to work I would feel a million bucks.
Cheers!

Solution
seems like its running on ur integrated graphics...
either that, or its using the windows generic driver...
use ddu and reinstall the drivers...

aight well that still doesn't solve why the old one graphics card wont work, it was working fine before i installed the sky arrow one.

Done both of those things and a different monitor, it works now but instead of saying "GTX250" it instead says "Microsoft basic display driver" so ether ive been scammed or ive installed it incorrectly.
