I have an HP Pavilion HPE h8-1212. I recently bought an EVGA 750 Ti 2GB edition. When I installed it, it went to a screen that said press ESC to enter BIOS. When I pressed ESC it didn't let me into the bios, and after, sent me to a blank screen. Help please?

The 750 Ti version of the card requires you to connect a 6 pin 12v Pci-e power connector from the Psu of the system direct to the card.

Without the 12v Pci-e power connection you will get no video signal as an output from any of the 750 Ti graphics cards output display ports when the monitor cable is connected N3333R0.

The 6 pin power block connector will be located on the 750 Ti card either at the back edge of the card.
Or the edge that is facing you along it`s length when looking at the card in the Pci-e card slot of the motherboard.

Please click on the picture link bellow to see the12v six pin power block connector on the 750 Ti graphics card you must have connected if the card has it.

If the card does not require a 6 pin 12v power feed.

Then check that the extra four pin 12v Eps power connector is connected to your motherboard also near or around the cpu socket of the motherboard.

The white four pin power block seen just behind the two usb ports of the motherboard in the picture.

Yeah I removed the drivers, I have the base model, There are no power things on the card

Also, now I'm having another problem, I took the other AMD GPU out, it was hard to do for some reason, I was pushing the latch though, but then now when I plug in my card the fan spins but there is no signal on my moniter.

may not be a supported card this is common with some models of prebuilts like your hp

so it looks like your model is a NVidia 600 series or below 700 series and up seem not to be compatible and today the 750 ti do not come with the uefi/ legacy switch anymore as some once did [may find one used on ebay ? ]

don't matter if your computer shipped with win-7 your stuck with legacy if it shipped with win -8 then you can use that bios then the card ''may'' work

this is why I never recommend you upgrade a prebuilt unless you got proof positive that the card will work not jus the good old ''ya, it will'' like you see all the time here like at toms

my disclaimer

some models of store bought computers [dell.hp,acer,ect..] may come with a ''locked or fixed'' bios and may not allow you to change certain hardware as a video card.. this is done to protect them from undue warranty claims and refunds .this is not done to hurt you but to protect them. you really need to see if that upgrade has been proven to work in your model first before you invest money in it .. there are a lot of these threads here at toms to look at some models will allow upgrades and some dont.. and a lot of guys here say ya ya ya when is really no no no...it would be sad you spent $200 on a card that wount post after you installed it as most find out. then get told its your psu and you spend more and end up right back where you are now, but its up to you good luck..

you got to know the the boards in these computers are not like the ones we use to do custom builds witch are open to upgrading with in the boards compatibly . the bios is custom made for there design and just for the parts they authorize to be used on there computers there only guaranteed to work as is out of the box as you bought it ,..

also these boards do not have to meet atx standards and there pci-e slot power may not do the required 75w needed for most higher end cards and can be limited to say 45 or 60w that is all thats needed with the low end factory oem cards that it may of shipped with

in the end any upgrade you do is all your own risk . the prebuilt manufactures only guarantees there computers work as sold to you as is out of the box from there factory with what they put on it , not a drop more

there in business to sell you whole ready to go computers , and dont worry about you upgrading them or giving you support to do so . thats not how they make there money they prefer you run to wal-mart and buy there ''better'' latest models

maybe find something on the positive side of things ?

Apparently you didn't read very much of the link I sent, that guy updated his BIOS to 8.1 after having the exact same problem as me and it started working.

well Apparently , i'll bet he got mad and said that for spite seeing hes the only one ... all I can say is good luck with that recall what I said above how the newer 750ti cards are not the same as the older ones like that part of having the legacy/uefi switch removed ??

I hope you get it working , but I would not put my money on it doing so all I can do is point ths stuff out when you deal with a prebuilt like HP

''in the end any upgrade you do is all your own risk . the prebuilt manufactures only guarantees there computers work as sold to you as is out of the box from there factory with what they put on it , not a drop more''

good luck
