750w cut it for NVIDIA Surround 3D?

Hello, i have been trying to get a good idea of what i will need to upgrade for a 3 monitor setup using nvidia surround in 3D. I have 1 GTX 580 and was going to upgrade to 2 for sli to support the 3 monitors but i dont know if a 750w Power supply will handle it

PSU :

Lepa 750w modular power supply
4x PCI Cabes (leads me to think it has the cables to support sli so it should work)
12v rail's

Im also powering a i7 2600k, 2 hard drives, and a blu ray player

750 Watts should be plenty, if it's coming from a good power supply. I would look into getting a better brand of power supply than Lepa (never heard of them).

They seem pretty descent according to reviews on overclockers

They are a UK Brand so might be who not that well known

80 plus bronze certified if that matters

The 750W version has four 6+2 pin PCIe power connectors and 62.5A on the 12V rails; it is electrically sufficient to run two GTX580s in SLI. Overclocking of the CPU or GPUs has the potential to quickly push the PSU too hard. Considering the 650W PSU burned when overloaded I would careful about any OC on the PC when running the GTX580 SLI.

Allright thanks, I dont really have a need to overclock my CPU since i7 2600k stock is just fine with me, atleast it will do untill i have a bit more money for a new PSU

Only issue is i have 1 ASUS Direct CU ii Factory overclcocked GTX 580 and im going to get a Stock standard glock EVGA GTX 580, will this be a issue?

I'm in the same boat as Rugger on not being well versed in multi GPU setups, but from what I've ever read, different clock speeds or VRAM size don't matter, other than it will be limited to whichever card has the lowest amount of VRAM. All that matters is that the GPU's are the same type (ie. 580 with a 580).

Can I mix and match graphics cards is one of them is overclocked by the manufacturer?

Yes. A GeForce XXXX GTX that is overclocked can be mixed with a standard clocked GeForce XXXX GTX.

Thanks rugger looks like like im good to go as long as i dont overclock my CPU, But by the time i might want to do that i msure ill have enough for a new PSU
