*I know there are a couple threads like this one, so just FYI I will be thoroughly testing the product i receive to make sure. Just wanted to get some second opinions.*

Just purchased this AORUS 1080ti from ebay. There seems to be some other cards at a similar price point from individual sellers on ebay, this one is just slightly lower at $759. Description says this thing is new and unused. Seller (tshiu) has a decent amount of 100% positive feedback, and a couple entries are from others that have bought the same card which seems like a good sign. But I know about the "$100" high end ebay gpu scam and I'm paranoid. Is this card legit or did I just buy a fake/refurbished 1080ti?

Also the order has already been marked as "shipping info received", could be good because I'm actually going to get something, or bad because the seller immediately accepted the payment... I dunno!

Thanks a ton!

Thank you for all the feedback!

Good to hear it doesn't look like a fraud off the bat. I opted for a 1080ti over the 2080 because of the reliability issues people have been seeing with them, figure if I upgrade to ray tracing I'll wait for the 21 series to work out all the kinks.

Good Luck with the card , I hope it's legit and runs the way it should! :)

Most of the reported reliability issues have been with the 2080ti and I have a feeling that some of those have been a little blown out of proportion.

Update

Card works perfectly! Came totally sealed, even did an etoh spritz to look for fingerprints and smudges and nothing came up. It really hadn't seen the light of day beforehand.

I didn't want to remove the heatsink unless as a last measure so i first plugged it in and ran gpuz on it. Comes up clean, same cores, same ram, same processor, same frequency. Runs AAA games at flawless 60fps

Looks like I owe that guy on eBay a great review! It's good to see that you can trust listings around that price point these days.
