Hey everyone, with the recent shock of Nvidia releasing support of freesync I've been eager to acquire a freesync monitor. I have 1060 3gb and so am plenty happy to stay at 1080p plus the budget couldn't afford 1440p

My question is, should I get a 75hz Freesync IPS Panel or a 144hz Freesync TN Panel for a bit more money?

The 75hz comes in at around $170 and I have 2 options for the 144hz: $220 and $270

75hz: https://www.pccasegear.com/products/43411?PPC=Y&gclid=Cj0KCQiAhKviBRCNARIsAAGZ7Cdxo1IGziHldbDd3dd3vQm4w6WBy9efLcGl3I729bKjX5hPC7QXStgaApFmEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

144hz A: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Viewsonic-VX2458-MHD-24in-144Hz-FHD-FreeSync-TN-Gaming-Monitor/254090592060?epid=9025820943&hash=item3b28fabf3c:g:A2YAAOSwlEBcSVOZ

144hz B: https://www.centrecom.com.au/aoc-c24g175-236-144hz-full-hd-1ms-curved-freesync-gaming-monitor

I have been using a BenQ 60hz 1080p VA panel and so not too sure how the quality of a TN Panel would go but would enjoy the 144hz. I don't believe I would really notice the quality too badly as it would be a single monitor set up so no comparisons to an IPS.

Since I have a 1060 I play most AAA games at around 60-70 fps and then some less demanding ones like csgo and borderlands at >200 fps. That's the main reason why I wanted 144hz.

Don't do any professional colour sensitive work so that's not really a big factor but would still enjoy games and movie etc to look decent and not severely washed out.

So the main question: is having a substantially lower refresh rate, 75hz<144hz worth the picture quality of the IPS or not?

Thanks a lot!

Edit: These are priced in Australian Dollars
