So I just built a pc, see below for specs. I also bought a 75Hz freesync monitor, knowing I wouldn't be able to use the freesync capability as I have a Nvidia gpu.

When I'm playing battlefield 1, in the resolution options, for 1080p I have 3 options: 1080p @ 50Hz, 1080p @ 60Hz, 1080p @ 74.92Hz. If I set it to 1080p @ 74.92 does this mean I will be getting 75fps, because I read that Freesync monitors run at max 60Hz with Nvidia GPUs. Is this true? Isn't the fact that the game lets me choose 75Hz prove that it can run at 75Hz?

"because I read that Freesync monitors run at max 60Hz with Nvidia GPUs". Where did you read that? I don't think it's true. The monitor will refresh at whatever it's capable of refreshing at and/or what the manufacture set the max refresh rate to. If the monitor is capable of 75hz it should be capable of it regardless of freesync being enabled or not.

If the monitor is set to run at 75hz in windows which it likely is if you have the option of 75hz in bf1, then yes the monitor is running at 75hz. You can use this tool below to be sure.

Thank you so much, this was the answer I was looking for. I used the tool and it said I had 60Hz, and then I went into display adaptor settings and changed monitor refresh rate to 75hz, and then I went back to the tool and it said I had 75Hz.

This is where I read up that: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/737243-can-i-get-75hz-during-gameplay-using-an-nvidia-card-on-an-lg-32um68-p-monitor/

There was a couple people saying that it would run at 75 Hz but also some saying otherwise, so I was really confuesd. Thanks.
