If you want thin bezels and IPS then get the monitor you linked. If you are ok with a TN panel and bigger bezels you can get one £17 cheaper:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/AOC-G2460VQ6-Widescreen-Multimedia-DisplayPort/dp/B015510R4M/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8 (I'm not from the UK so I don't know if you're ok with Amazon. You can suggest a different retailer if you would like.)

If you get the monitor I linked then make sure to use a DisplayPort cable. HDMI won't work.
Would you say the monitor I linked would be worth the extra cash in terms of build quality/specs?

Yes, the one you linked is definitely worth it. The build quality on the Acer is good, just all plastic. I'd go with it but if you want to squeeze the most money out of the budget then get the AOC.

I personally own 2 Acer monitors and haven't had any issues. One is a normal Acer monitor and one is a Predator series monitor. The only thing I don't like is how even the really expensive ($470) Predator is how it is all plastic except for the stand.

I have read that the Acer I linked is actually pretty poor (actual response time of 10ms+ and such) and the AOC seems to have better reviews.

I also found this monitor from AOC: https://www.amazon.co.uk/AOC-G2590VXQ-Widescreen-Multimedia-DisplayPort/product-reviews/B078S36XWV/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_hist_3?ie=UTF8&reviewerType=all_reviews&filterByStar=three_star&pageNumber=1

It looks nicer than the one you linked, is cheaper and the specs are supposed to be the same but is either one better than the other? Or is there any other suggestions?
