Hi guys, so recently I've bought a new monitor, a quite cheap one actually which stated it has amd freesync and 75Hz.

The monitor is : AOC G2460VQ6.

I've bought this thinking I'd go with a amd gpu later on, I am still saving up for my pc though so that won't be any time soon.

Anyways the question is, I am pretty sure this monitor only has 75 Hz if connected with a dpisplayport, but for some reason I think the AMD Freesync and 75Hz work together, so , if I would go with a Nvidia gpu , would I have 75 Hz ? I know I won't have AMD Freesync for sure.

I myself don't understand too much about monitors and stuff, so if someone could check it out for me , you'd make my day a whole lot better!

Thanks

If you have problems with it comment here again. If you only see 60hz in the windows display resolution menu, you may have to go into nvidia control panel and set a custom resolution. That may be why you saw someone saying they only had 60hz, or they were using an inadequate cable like dvi single link or something.

what if i go freesync it is stil 75 hz witg hdmi cable?
