75hz or 144hz Monitor for 1050ti

Solution
you dont want gsync or vsync anything if you are playing competitive, it will introduce lag. gsync/freesync is excellent for aaa titles like witcher 3 etc where you want smooth cinematic feel. gsync/free sync can smooth out low fps spikes and generally make poor performance feel a little bit better along with eliminating tearing. but for csgo overwatch i want the highest uncapped fps and higher refresh possible with nothing filtering in between.

if you are just going for a 24" tn based 1080p montior then there is no question you should be looking at 144hz. at that monitor specs you dont have to pay much more to get 144hz. you will pay out the butt for gsync, but i wouldn't look for that feature myself if my goal was online...
Nvidia cards use gsync, not freesync. Personally, I'd favor a display with a display port input. It gives you more flexibility in the future. You don't, or shouldn't at least, need a VGA input on a new monitor.

The 1050 Ti is designed to be a budget option for ~60fps 1080p gaming. Of course, if you play older or less demanding games on it you can achieve higher framerates but that's not what it was designed for. So, as always, it depends on what games you intend to play.

Ok, so the 144hz is better for future proofing because it has a display port. I will be playing fps like CS:GO and R6 Siege. I know on R6 siege I should be getting around 60 fps so either monitor would be fine... So is the biggest reason to get the 144hz monitor because it will be better for the future + on a low demand game like CS:GO I can get better FPS?

The 144hz can cause more fluid movement among players and the background scene. So there is less motion blur. If you really want to get the best experience on how FPS games should be played is getting a 1440p monitor= for less edgy walls and corners etc. 144hz=has I mentioned apove etc. G-sync= so if by any chance depending what game you are playing drops to lower than your hz on your monitor, you still don't lose that fluid movement. Last but not least an IPS panel= with the rich, sharp colors that are better than TN panels you can be sneaking around the corners and can tell the difference of a dark shadow vs a guy in dark clothes. But real monitors like this don't come sheap $600+. Just a little something to shoot for in case you want to start streaming and making money like shroud lol.

the reason to get high refresh rate monitors is because they are simply better

BUT you need the hardware to back it up

for csgo a gtx 1050 ti is PLENTY to reach those fps, if you have a decent cpu

for R6 you need a gtx 1070

or reduce settings and something like a gtx 1060 6gb then becomes good enough

I am only looking into getting an Ryzen 5 1400, I know that 1050ti benchmarks show R6 Siege getting over 60fps but would that happen with a Ryzen 5 1400? I don't really care about getting 60+ fps on a game like R6.

if you look at the list, the 1050 ti is a bit better than a gtx 960

the 1050ti will easily push over 144fps in csgo overwatch and even many other games with settings dialed down. heck many pros play with ultra high end hardware with most/all settings set to low for an advantage of not having certain pretty but unnecessary items rendered on screen, items that just block your view or distract you from the goal.
