7600 GT choices

I would recommend the EVGA only because I own that exact model, the part number is N554 and it works great for BF2. EVGA customer support is pretty good too. My first retail card had problems, and I got a cross-shipment replacement (new in shrink wrap).

The XFX is clocked slightly higher than the rest. That is a good thing. XFX is a great brand name for video cards.

Looking at the price and specs closer though I would say:

Go 1.) XFX, 2.)EVGA, 3.)Gigabyte

Anyways, my 2 cents.

Good find on the BFG, just make sure you get your 65.00 rebate or it wouldn't be a good deal.

FYI I bought my EVGA card with a 20.00 rebate and received it in less than 4 weeks.

Don't count on rebates thought. OCZ took 4 solid months to get me my rebate (longer than advertised).

I have to differ from the others who recommend evga because of the step up program. How can it possibly be worth paying a 50% premium for a step up allowance that is only good for 90 days? Do you really think that there is a 50% chance that you will use the step up program and want to upgrade to a more expensive card within the 90 day window allowed? If so go with the evga - if not the BFG is the more cost effective option.

50% premium, where did you get that from? :?
all you pay is the difference of the card you want to upgrade too, and at least with evga he has the option

He has a point though, the step up program is kinda silly given you have to buy it through EVGA's website that charges much more than online or even retail distributors.

EVGA should make the step up program good for 6months, then it would be worth something. 3 months is too limited given the premium you have to pay EVGA to credit you for a better card.

I really do like EVGA as a company though. Their customer support is outstanding.

Step up program is worthless. I bought a card on the program and 30 days later, when I went to "step up", my card had been discontinued from the program. (9500gt, by the way) The company (EVGA) told me it was still advertised as being in it on the old boxes but had been taken off. The websites I checked still listed it as being in the program as well, so that's why I went with EVGA over their less expensive competetors. I was very upset when I went to "step up" my card and discovered that the "90 days" I had was only as long as EVGA felt like honoring their claims. Why would they print something on the box if they weren't going to honor it? Isn't that false advertising?
