Ok, I know this has probably been brought up before but what is better the 7600GT with higher clock speeds or the 6800GS with 256-bit memory and lower clock speeds.
Also which one will last the longest and if there and cards that are under 200 dollars that are better please tell me.

and yes i know i could spend 100 more dollars and get a 7900 but i dont have the money and my current video has pooped out.

7600 GT is far superior in every aspect. Its 128-bit memory is made up for by its very high memory clock speeds. Definately the card to get currently for the $150-$200 range.

Chip in a lbit more and get the 7900GT... You will really notice the difference!

Yeah, but it sounds like he is on a bit of a budget, and the 7600 is by no means a bad card. It all depends on how much you want to spend on a graphics card.

get the 7600GT(runs cooler, quiter, faster) theyll both last the same amount because they both have the same features(in terms of speed the 7600GT will last longer). Good Luck.

7600GT is a kick ass card.
Period.
Costs about the same as the 6800GS in most cases, but wins in the benches.

Get it.
Got It?
Good!
You Won't be sorry
Get the EVGA one. BFG is Great but EVGA clocks theirs higher and it's actually $20 cheaper.

Stick, a 7600 GT is better than a 6800 GS.

If you're a serious overclocker, the 6800 GS's memory bus comes into play, and it's a slightly different story. But at stock speeds, the 7600 GT is the clear winner.
