[SOLVED] 7600K@5.1GHz - I have no GPU right now

But I'm planning on buying one, how high up can I go up the stack without massively throttling the GPU? I have a PG348 3440x1440 G-Sync monitor by the way.

It really depends on the game engine. 1440p ultrawide is going to be primarily gpu heavy, but if the games you're going to play use more than 4 cores/threads, then the cpu is still going to be a hindrance.
This game, for example, IF YOU CAN GET IT WORKING, runs like crap on a 7600K:
