770 upgrade or monitor upgrade?

Should I upgrade the 770 2gb to a 970/80 or upgrade my 1080p screen to a 1440p screen?
Mainly for BF4 and Just cause 3

1440p looks a lot better.. but you would see a big framerate drop sticking with the 770.. It would work, but you'd have to much lower settings meaning much of the benefits of the higher resolution would be lost.

I would say 1440p is unnecessary unless you want the extra surface area 770 should be more than powerful enough most system requirements are exaggerated., however the 900 series cards have full direct x12 support and hdmi 2.0 support (60 hrz at 4k)

For 1440p you'd need something like a gtx 980/r9 390x too.
For now,stick to 1080p gaming,and upgrade the GPU to r9 390.

Stay as you are with gpu buy a 2k 144hz ips monitor, in 2016 nvidia and amd will release new videocards with new graphic chips, prices will go lower for last gen and you have a chance to inform yourself until then, 770 is still a powerful card, extremists like to play with words but you spend the money.

I would go with the monitor first then get a better GPU later.

probably gonna stay with my 770 then and buy a new monitor
