770 vs 960

i have 2 options for gpu....gtx 770 2gb and gtx 960 2gb..i am confused bcoz 770 is 256 bit and the 960 is 128....but people told me to go for the 960 bcoz its latest then 770....what do u guys say?

Only thing I can contribute is... 770 is still a good card in 2019. If you can pick one up cheap, go for it. "Oh its sooooo old so it must suck." People with this attitude is probably the only reason I could afford one. So actually, big thank you to those aged hardware haters out there!

GTX 670 760 770 680 780 are such a bargain. Great for 1080p gaming, 770 can even put in some low-setting 4k work. What you paying for it? That is the real question.

I don't think there is as much performance difference in the gtx 6 to 7 or the 7 to 9 jumps as people think. Especially that 7 to 9 jump "because its 2 different!"

Anyway.. For $100+ I'm looking for an RX470/480/570/580. Don't get me wrong 770 is still a good card, but you've got falling prices on the used RX stuff these days that you cannot ignore in the 3 digit range.
