Question 7700hq vs 8550 u

Hello!
So im an engineering student so i use a lot of solidworks, autocad, and also do some programming.
Im looking for a laptop that will be great handling all that, and ive found some. the only problem is that i cant decide because of the processor.
The only one i found that has the best reviews with the i7 7700hq (less than 1200 dollars) is the lenovo yoga 720 15. only problem with it is a black bar issue that they seem to have.
But then there are a lot of lightweight laptops with great ssd and ram but with an 8550 u. (yoga 730 15)
Will i see the difference if i decide to go with the 8550u? Or should i stick to the 7700hq?

the 7700hq is slightly better imo. But the gpu provided in the yoga 730 15 has more gpu memory if im not mistaken. 1050 with 4gb compared to the yoga 720 15 which has 2gb.

Either one should suit your needs fine
