7700k idling at very high frequency

Hi all,

I have reverted all the overclock and resetted bios. However the 7700k is idling at nearly 3 - 4.5 Mhz. Making the idling temp not very idle.

I have changed power setting to Balanced but still cannot make the cpu idle like normal.

Any suggestion which can perhaps help me solve the issue?

Your I7-7700k CPU has a base frequency of 4.2GHz and Turbo Frequency of 4.5GHz if you have Bios at default. Temperatures at idle should be around 10-15C above ambient room temperature and 60-65C under load. If your temps are above those parameters then you need to look at your cooling system.
