Okay, Obviously they are not out yet. But based off of the skylake series. If I game and do 3D and video rendering / editing. Should I get the 7700k or 7800k. Could I get the 7800k to achieve the same single core performance as a 7700k through overclocking? And would a 7700k at 4.6Ghz be better than a 7800k at 4.6ghz for gaming?

Solution
I wouldn't bet on a 7800k from Intel.
Maybe a 7950X but it seems pretty redundant to release
And I'm pretty sure they won't release an entire new x99 line and won't release a new x-chipset for 14nm chips.

Mate, generation newer, Skylake and Kabylake ar basicly the same performance wise
