Hello,
So i had an fx 6300 which i had to sell for some reason, along with a gigabyte ds3p mobo. But i have my sapphire radeon 7770 1gb left over from my old rig. Now i am on a very strict budget, so i cant afford any processor which costs more than 6000-6300 indian rupees (around 90$). For the motherboard i have kept aside 45$ or 3300 INR. I was able to play all games with this graphic card along with my beloved 6300 at low to medium settings including rise of the tomb raider.
Niw i cant afford a 6 core processor like i said, so i am leaning towards a8 7600 or fx 4300. I have enquired at wholesale stores here in bangalore, india and both of these are available within my budget. I dont plan to use crossfire as i kniw it wont work with the 7770 and a8 7600. So no worries about that. What i want to know is whether the 7600 is a better choice than the fx 4300 in terms of speed and performance along with allowing me to game at low-med settings, or is the 4300 better than 7600, forget about the inbuilt graphics as i want to use my 7770 for gaming. I will be using 8gb ram @ 1866. Help me choose please. Thank you in advance.

the A8 beats the 4300 slightly but there is no upgrade path for it. later down the road you could look at the FX 8320 or 8350 for an upgrade
Cant afford the i3 as its price is equivalent to the amd cpu and mobo combined( whichever of the 2 i mentioned i buy). So the fx 4300 is better because of the upgrade path it provides or is it just faster and has better performance than 7600 irrespective of the inbuilt graphics it has?

@faalin. You are right bro. Hehe. Buying the a10 for an upgrade wouldnt make much sense alrite. But on the other side theres 6300 and the 8 cores again in the future with the same mobo. Alrite then, i guess i will go with fx 4300. Or how about the athlon x4s ecky has mentioned. Would they be a better choice? Cant seem to find them online in any indian websites though.
@ecky. Thanks for bringing my attention to the athlons bro. I will check them out. As for going for intel is concerned, i wont be doing that coz the path to intel i3s and i5s is too expensive for me. Though i would love to. But cant. I guess the last upgrade for me woyld be a 6300 again maybe next year. Hehe.

What motherboard are you getting, it will help knowing what upgrade path for the cpu you will have.

I just looked that the fx 4300 was AM3+ socket and looked to see what would fit in it. Hens why I recommended the FX 8320 or 8350, the 6300 is only a slight upgrade to the 4300.
