780 SC Or 780Ti SC

Ok so I am stuck in a pickle.
I am building a new gaming pc and I want the longest possible lifespan from it.

so what graphics card do I get the 780 Sc or the 780TI Sc.

I also only have a 60Hz monitor at the time of posting this but am thinking of getting the BenQXL240Z monitor any reason on why I shouldn't get that?

780 ti would last much longer, but if you want value then just get 780.

for a normal 1080p 60hz monitor 780 is more than enough, it can max out anything with more than 60 fps in most games.

the GTX 780Ti won't last "much" longer, it only performs a few FPS faster than the GTX 780 @ 1080p in modern games, not a noticeable difference at all. The GTX 780Ti is more of a bragging rights card, and it may look much faster on paper, in gaming, not so much at all.

Save the money and get yourself a GTX 780.

The 780 TI is only about 10% faster than a 780, but the TI costs 40% more.
The 780 SC is a much better value than the 780 TI SC. Get the 780 SC.

Either way you go try to get non reference version. One of best now is EVGA with ACX cooler. You get higher performance than reference and also lower noise and temperature with small price difference.
Both of those are very good. 780ti will last little longer, but unless you are type who just have to play every game always on max settings 780 will be better power/price ratio with it's price about 200 euro lower (no idea what are prices in usd).

EDIT: Actually it's funny but sc with acx is in my local store now cheaper than reference 780 no idea why. So you may be lucky to find good deal like that too.

The monitor you want is the one you should get.

A great choice indeed, especially for gaming. It also is reviewed to look good for a TN panel, compared to many others.

dont buy evga, just listen to all the people that can not adjust the idle noise level, there is no notisible fps gain from evga, just idle noise gain.

don't buy evga? There one of the best brands. Of course there is no FPS increase all the aftermarket cooled GTX 780's use the same chip!, and their cards are reasonably quiet.

I like EVGA because of there reviews, customer service and the look of there video cards.

I bit of noise doesn't bother me that much
