780 ti Connectors question

I got a dual molex to 6 pin connector with one hole thingy and I had a 2 pin connector so I used a 2 pin and the dual molex to 6 pin and pluged in the 6 pin and the 2 pin to the gpu I have alot of 6 pins in my gpu but I used the dual molex to the 6 pin since I tought its special :/ so I basicly did (2 pin + 6 pin (with one empy hole)) instead 8 pin is that a problem ? since I got some freezing and fps drop and shit :s

The 8pin connection on any GPU is the most important and should be directly from the PSU, I have used a duel molex to 6pin before to power a 6pin connection but would never use it for an 8pin. Does you PSU come with a 8 and 6 pin and what is the wattage?

OK thanks for the picture, this isn't ideal but should work, turn your 6pin into an 8 with adapter to power the 8pin slot and use your duel molex to power the 6pin slot.
