780 TI or 780 Ti 'black edition'

I'm currently looking to upgrade my card. Almost bought a 780 last month. Glad I didn't now swing the prices drop recently.

Was all set on getting the new 780 TI this week but I've heard of another version with higher clocks and double the memory.

Worth waiting for the TI special edition?

What you guys think?

Instead wait for ANOTHER price drop a while after Ti release at some point, then see how the 290 and 290x turn out, if you do not like those card then AT LEAST the GTX780ti will have dropped a little.

As for me i would wait..To see amd just dropped the prices again lets me know nv bout to do some work and going the sli route on the 2 highest end cards i could afford would beat the single card or waiting on the 800s. Just my opinion tho

Not really sure what cards determine was talking about. But I've been debating this issue as well as going with 770 sli instead of a 780 ti. Cause right now you can get a couple MSI TF 770s for about $100 less than an EVGA Superclocked ACX 780 ti. Really wanting to pull the trigger on something, but still can't decide on which or if I should just drink some beer and wait it out...

Not really sure what cards determine was talking about. But I've been debating this issue as well as going with 770 sli instead of a 780 ti. Cause right now you can get a couple MSI TF 770s for about $100 less than an EVGA Superclocked ACX 780 ti. Really wanting to pull the trigger on something, but still can't decide on which or if I should just drink some beer and wait it out...

Crazy part is the 800s coming at some point and thats going to be the stinker and i would love to jump on a sli 880/870 setup
