780 ti overkill?

Hey, i wanted to ask if i am going to play with 1 monitor at 1080p will the evga 780 ti sc/w acx cooler be overkill for future games also?
I would really like to future proof my build, price isn't an issue, just asking if it would be too overkill.

impossbile to say for sure what will happen in the future. but i would say its not even overkill for current games if you aim to play everything at max settings with 60fps.

its a very strong card, and will obviously handle future games very well.

Change the CPU from 4770K to 4790K.

Looks very good, that build will obviously not bottleneck the 780 ti

With price not being an issue, go for the 780Ti.
Agree with Shneiky on the CPU, but check the MB is compatible-it probably is but check anyway.
Also consider the R9 290X, its extra memory is likely to come in handy (BF4, Titanfall and Watch Dogs can already max out 3Gb if you push them). The Sapphire Tri-X cooler seems to be the best of the bunch although the MSI Lightning runs very close to it.
