Well, this is less than ideal.

Recently upgraded from the 7600x to the 7800x3d. Had no real issues with the former just wanted the best in socket cpu. Ever since though I’ve had issues booting into windows. The msi logo will appear on screen, and then loop back to the bios. Sometimes I can get into windows the first try, sometimes it takes 6, sometimes it can take 12 or more. But once I’m in windows everything is gravy and my gaming performance is great. Until I reboot the machine and I have to play the song and dance again. Bios is flashed to latest and even tried the one before. Chipset updated. Tried cmos, seating one ram stick in 4th slot, expo on and off. Nothing seems to correlate. Only weird thing is my storage doesn’t show up in the bios. But sometimes it does work.. very strange and Any help would be appreciated!

Just reset cmos again, unplugged pc, waited a couple minutes. Held the cmos button in for about 10-15 seconds. Turned pc back on took me right back into the bios, and back to the loop. I try to exit bios and It almost seems like it gets to the windows screen but just before it goes right back

Just kidding. Everything was fine and dandy yesterday but today the problem reared it’s ugly head again with the second cpu. No longer recognizing drive in bios. If I put the boot m.2 in any other slot besides the first one it will boot. But with the other processor the slot works fine every time. Very odd behavior. Msi tech support was equally stumped. The x3d doesn’t seem to like the gen 3 ssd even though it should be backwards compatible. Currently running system with drive in chipset slot.

I also bought a MSI B650 motherboard for my 7800x3d. It booted up fine the first time but I am unable to boot it again. Apparently, this motherboard doesn’t seem to like the 7800x3d.
