I just wanted to check that my CPU temps and behaviour are ok. I've noticed I hear the fans kicking in a lot. Its seems to idle at about 50-55 when not touching anything on the PC. The weird thing I notice is when I just open up a browser or anything it can jump to 70 before settling back down to around 55. It maxs at 88 deg is this too much?

I did a cpu profile and it seems to be scoring really low as well:

My system is :
1 x Custom Configured System Build
1 x Gigabyte X670 AORUS ELITE AX AMD Motherboard
1 x Corsair RM850x 850W Modular 80+ Gold PSU
1 x Kingston FURY Beast 32GB (2x 16GB) 6000MHz DDR5
1 x AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D Zen 4 CPU
1 x Samsung 980 PRO 2TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe SSD
1 x Gigabyte Radeon RX 7900 XTX GAMING 24GB OC GPU
1 x Microsoft Windows 11 Home Advanced
1 x Apply Thermal Grizzly compound during processor installation
1 x Fractal Lumen RGB 240mm All-in-One Liquid CPU Cooler

Its a new build from Chillblast so I want to make sure everything is good.

Sounds like it is potentially hitting max thermal (89C) which would cause your clockspeeds to suffer slightly. All of the Zen 4 chips are fairly difficult to cool, but those idle temps seem high. I'd expect mid 30s-mid 40s temp wise so there may be a bad application of paste or something going on with the cooler.

What tool are you using to monitor temps?
Gigabyte control center and HWinfo.

I have just been play valorant for about an hour and had rivatuner on and it was sitting at 65 deg for the most part. Not sure how demanding that is though. Game dont seem to be stuttering or anything but then it scored so bad in the cpu profile. I guess I will have to speak to chillblast.
