Hey guys,

I still can't figure out whether I should go for 7800X3D or 14700K, my main priority is the input lag//(End-to-End Latency), responsiveness and smoothness.
as it's my main focus in VALORANT as a pro player.

The 2 Rigs are:

CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D

Cooler: Corsair H150i RGB ELITE 360mm

MOBO: Gigabyte AORUS B650 ELITE AX or MSI B650 Tomahawk WiFi

GPU: Gigabyte 4070 Super Windforce OC

RAM: Corsair 6000MHZ CL30 32GB EXPO (CMK32GX5M2B6000Z30)

SSD: SAMSUNG 990 EVO 1TB

OR

CPU: Intel i7 14700K/KF

Cooler: Corsair H150i RGB ELITE 360mm

MOBO: Gigabyte Aorus Z790 ELITE AX or MSI Z790 Tomahawk WiFi

GPU: Gigabyte 4070 Super Windforce OC

RAM: Corsair 6000MHZ CL30 32GB XMP (CMK32GX5M2B6000C30)

SSD: SAMSUNG 990 EVO 1TB

either cpu would give you that, just tweak bios settings (ram timings) to lower latencies which will net you better 0,1%/1% lows
got it, but this would help in overall end to end latency? or just 0.1% and 1% FPS?, because, I honestly don't care about FPS as much as I do care about latency, as soon as FPS is stable 350-400+

fps has something to do with latency aswell, 350-400fps would be like 2ms latency?
if you get 40fps at 0,1% that would show up as micro stutter, 90% of stutters can be fixed with bios settings, rest 10% can be solved in windows
that in case you do get stutters in game which shouldnt have them

I agree with you that FPS contribute with latency, but I was thinking about deeper thinking of how the CPU design itself handles requests for example infinity fabric vs intel bus ring, so I was asking if the X3D chips are better than intel in terms of this perspective.

not exactly your selected CPUs, but its a demonstration of infinity fabric vs ring bus latencies(latencies between cores when they talk with eachother), 7800x3D has just single CCX, so just that green part should be valid, 13thgen and 14th gen are basicly same
